We know what real love is because Jesus showed us, by giving His life for us! God doesnt love us in response to anything we did or could do! God went first! He loved us first, when we were His enemy and didnt deserve it, so we could know what love is and show that love to others first, even when they may not deserve it, but in response to and as a reflection of the amazing love of Jesus! We love because He first loved us! God's love is the source and the reason for loving one another. In human emotions it doesnt make sense, BUT GOD!!! Just like the words to that beloved song, Amazing grace..... "amazing love, how can it be, that my God should die for me"... 1John 4:7-21.
